Currently, when the simulation option is chosen, broken lines stay broken even if the simulation is started from the beginning again. We could either add a "reset" button and whenever the simulation is started from zero, the broken lines are reset.

I think this Bug/Enhancement is resolved automatically, if we merge modeling and simulating
That is correct. This issue should be solved with the simulation/modeling merge.
